Use a canvas bag for shopping and make a difference!

From the TreePeople website...

"On January 22, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors will vote whether or not to require a reduction in plastic single-use bags. For more information on attending the Board of Supervisor's hearing and to show your support click here.

Los Angeles County residents use six billion plastic bags each year and recycle only 5 percent of that total. Instead, these bags become part of the plastic-dominated litter stream, putting added pressure on scarce landfill, fouling our public spaces, degrading already weakened watersheds and threatening marine life."
What to do:

1. Find out how to reduce plastic bag consumption and adopt sustainable practices year-round, or learn more now.
2. Spread the Word - through blogs, your website or word of mouth encourage people to use canvas bags.
3.
Advocate for fewer plastic bags. Sometimes it's not necessary to double bag everything.
