Seedballs Kenya are working to restore Kenya’s rangelands seed by seed. They put tree seeds (Acacia seeds and other native tree seeds) in a protective charcoal capsule and to date have distributed over 6 million seedballs, of that, even if only 10% survive that’s still 600,000 new trees helping fight climate change. Seedballs Kenya partner with a number of non-profits like the Mara Elephant Project who work to protect elephants in the greater Mara eco system, and they engage with local communities to inspire conservation. I purchased seeds to be distributed across the Masai Mara because who doesn’t love trees and elephants. Kenya is heading into the rainy season and it’s the perfect time of year for this.
